Quetta: Advisor to the Chief Minister of Balochistan on Women Development, Dr. Rubaba Khan Buledi, has underscored the urgent need for comprehensive public health legislation and the establishment of a One Health policy in the province. She made these remarks during a meeting with a delegation from the International Health Regulations Islamabad, led by Dr. SafiUllah.

Dr. Buledi emphasized that the province’s health system requires significant bolstering to effectively address current and future public health challenges. She stressed the importance of modernizing health laws and policies to not only tackle pandemic situations but also to ensure preparedness for potential health emergencies.

Highlighting the significance of collaboration, Dr. Buledi advocated for the implementation of a One Health policy. This approach would foster cooperation across various health sectors, leading to a more comprehensive understanding of health interconnections.

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti, the provincial government is actively working to improve the health sector in Balochistan. Dr. Buledi reiterated the government’s commitment to collaborating with relevant institutions to achieve these goals.
