Health Desk:

QUETTA: Over 2.6 million children across Balochistan will receive polio drops in an upcoming vaccination campaign starting October 28, organized by the Balochistan health department.

More than 11,000 teams have been deployed to ensure the campaign’s reach across the province as Balochistan faces 21 reported cases following the re-emergence of the virus after two and a half years.

Inam ul Haq, Chief of the Emergency Operation Cell, urged parents to participate actively, stating, “Polio remains a real threat, and vaccination is the only way to protect our children.”

Emphasizing the importance of immunization, he added, “Our teams are fully prepared, but parental cooperation is essential to make Balochistan polio-free.”

The campaign underlines the province’s commitment to eradicating the virus through coordinated and widespread vaccination efforts.
