The COVID-19 has claimed 11,310 lives globally and 2,72, 000 people have been tested positive for the deadly virus on Saturday. According to a tally by America’s Johns Hopkins University, most of the deaths have been reported from mainland China.
Italy: Soldiers were being drafted in to help enforce the lockdown in Italy on Friday as officials announced 627 new deaths, the largest single-day toll anywhere in the world since the coronavirus outbreak began. In Italy, over 4000 have been killed by the COVID-19. So far, 47,000 people have been tested positive for the deadly virus.
China: Mainland China reported 41 new cases of the novel coronavirus on Friday — all of which were imported from overseas, according to the country’s National Health Commission.
Seven more people died, bringing the death toll in mainland China to 3,255 by the end of Friday.
The NHC found no new locally transmitted cases for the third day in a row and confirmed no new cases in Hubei province, the epicenter of the pandemic.
US:
The virus has spread across over 50 states of America. So far, over 18000 people have been tested positive for the Coronavirus whereas, 258 have died in the US.
Iran:
Iran announced 149 more deaths from the coronavirus, bringing the total to 1,433 amid nearly 20,000 confirmed cases in the sanctions-hit country.
The COVID-19 has spread over more than 150 countries across the globe and all continents.
