Zhob: Torrential rains play havoc

Torrential rains played havoc in Balochistan’s Zhob district. Various parts of the district witnessed the worst torrential rains. “Dozens of mud-walled houses damaged and inundated” Shaiq Baloch, Deputy Commissioner Zhob told Quetta Voice.
People evacuated their houses after torrential rains that caused damages in railway colony, new Abadi, Sherani Bazar, Kharotabad, and other areas of Zhob city. “We have declared an emergency to cope with the natural disaster”, Mr. Baloch said.

Affected people left towards open spaces

The affected people left towards open space and some of them got refuges at the houses of their relatives in the area. The survivors are in desperate need of support.
However, the Deputy Commissioner said the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has been contacted and commodities and tents dispatched for the affected people.
The DC also reached the affected area and met with the people affected by torrential rains.
