SAPM on health reviews anti-polio campaign at Chaman border

Special Assistant to Prime Minister (SAPM) on health, Dr. Faisal Sultan visited Pak-Afghan border Chaman and reviewed the anti-polio campaign on Friday. Deputy Commissioner (DC) Chaman, Captain (R) Jumadad Mandokhail received the SAPM.

“Pakistan would be a polio-free country very soon”, Dr. Faisal Sultan said. The SAPM visited the Friendship gate located between Pakistan and Afghanistan and reviewed the polio campaign.

Dr. Faisal Sultan stated that Chaman and Killa Abdullah were high-risk districts in terms of the crippling virus. However, now the number of polio cases reduced as a result of steps taken by the government, he said.

DC Chaman briefs SAPM

The DC Chaman, Captain (R) Jumadad Mandokhail briefed the SAPM regarding the district administration’s efforts to eradicate the crippling virus.

In Quetta: Dr. Faisal Sultan called on Chief Minister Balochistan Jam Kamal Khan and discussed the government’s efforts to eradicate the poliovirus.

Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Balochistan said the government was well aware of the routine immunization. “Government is committed to improving routine immunization”, Jam Kamal said. He underlined the need for creating awareness among the people to eradicate the virus.
