QUETTA: A doctor has been tested positive for the novel coronavirus in Quetta on Friday. The doctor has been kept in an isolation ward at Sheikh Zayed Hospital, Liaquat Shahwani, the Spokesman Balochistan government tells Quetta Voice.

“Yes the doctor has been tested positive”, Mr Shahwani said, giving no other details. Sources in the health department said samples of some other doctors were also being tested in the laboratory with regard to the coronavirus.

In Balochistan, so far the health officials have confirmed 131 cases of novel coronavirus. With this fresh case, the number of cases rises to 132. However, the virus has caused one death so far.
