The death toll from the novel coronavirus has reached 1519 across the country on Sunday. Health departments of provinces and centers have confirmed 80 deaths caused by the deadly virus within the last 24 hours.
Cases of the coronavirus appear to be on a constant rise in the aftermath of easing lockdown by the federal government to facilitate the masses.
Punjab has reported 952 new cases of the novel coronavirus, taking the provincial tally to 25,056.
Moreover, the province also saw a record jump in the number of fatalities due to the virus, with 36 more deaths reported in the last 24 hours, according to the provincial primary and secondary healthcare department. The latest figure raises the death toll in the province to 475.
However, the number of patients recovered from the deadly virus has passed 25,000 across the country. Most of the patients with mild symptoms have recovered at their homes while battling the virus.
