NASEERABAD: The convoy of Nawabzada Khalid Magsi, the Central President of the Balochistan Awami Party (BAP), was attacked in the Notal area of Naseerabad district on Tuesday. Fortunately, Nawabzada Khalid Magsi emerged unscathed from the incident, as confirmed by police sources.
According to initial reports, armed robbers opened fire on Magsi’s convoy, causing a tense and chaotic situation. The swift response of the security personnel accompanying the convoy ensured that Magsi remained safe, and the attackers fled the scene.
The attack has drawn sharp reactions from Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti. Expressing his anger at the district administration over the incident, Chief Minister Bugti emphasized the primary responsibility of the police and levies in maintaining peace and order.
“The activities of criminals in broad daylight reflect the incompetence of administrative officers,” Chief Minister Bugti stated. “The incident that happened with Nawabzada Khalid Khan Magsi is truly regrettable. All available resources must be utilized to arrest those involved in this heinous act.”
Chief Minister Bugti directed law enforcement agencies to take immediate and stringent action against the perpetrators. “Criminals should be eradicated immediately,” he asserted.
Despite the gravity of the incident, Chief Minister Bugti expressed his relief and satisfaction over the well-being of Nawabzada Khalid Magsi. He conveyed his good wishes for Magsi’s long life and health, acknowledging his significant role and contributions as a respected figure in Balochistan.
