File Photo: Police on the spot after a bomb explosion in Quetta

PANJGUR – In a tragic incident, five laborers were shot dead, and two others injured by unknown assailants on Tuesday while working on the Paroum dam project in Balochistan’s Panjgur district.

Shahid Rind, spokesperson for the Balochistan government, confirmed that the attackers opened fire on the workers, causing immediate fatalities.

The injured workers and deceased were transported to the nearest hospital. Police have arrived on the scene, and an investigation is now underway.

CM Bugti Condemns The Attack

Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Sarfaraz Bugti strongly condemned the attack and directed the police to arrest the culprits. In a statement, Mr. Bugti stated that the terrorists behind this attack would not be spared.

The attackers reportedly fled the area following the assault, and authorities are working to identify those responsible.

This incident has raised serious concerns regarding the safety of laborers in Balochistan, highlighting the ongoing security challenges in development areas.
