Chaman: Secretary health terminates 5 doctors

Secretary health Balochistan, Noor ul Haq Baloch on Wednesday terminated 5 doctors from their jobs. According to a notification issued by the health department, all 5 doctors found absent during the surprise visit of the secretary of health.
Mr. Baloch paid a surprise visit to district headquarters hospital Chaman Killa Abdullah. He dismayed over the performance of doctors serving in the hospital. “Zero tolerance for absent doctors”, Mr. Baloch warned the concerned officials. 
MS asked to ensure the presence of doctorsÂ
He directed the medical superintendent and other high-ups to make sure presence of doctors. All five doctors were working on a contract basis. The health department had recently appointed over 1,000 doctors on a contract basis to overcome the shortage of doctors in the province.
Health department Balochistan has launched a crack-down against chronic absentee doctors and other health professionals.
