Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Abdul Quddoos Bizenjo has said that a safe and suitable environment for investment has been created in Balochistan. Riko Diq’s $8 billion foreign investment plan is a testament to the favorable environment for investment in Balochistan. He expressed these views during a meeting with Consul General of Germany Dr. Rudiger Lutz.
Provincial Ministers Sardar Abdul Rehman Kethran, Syed Ehsan Shah, Mir Mohammad Khan Lehri, Senator Manzoor Khan Kakar, and Chief Secretary Balochistan Abdul Aziz Uqaili were also present in the meeting.
The meeting discussed other matters of mutual interests including investment in Balochistan and promotion of bilateral trade. Speaking on the occasion, the German Consul General said that a regional office of the German Chamber of Commerce in Dubai will soon be established in Pakistan for commercial activities and trust assessment in the region.
A delegation of the German Chamber of Commerce will visit Balochistan next month to promote bilateral regional trade and review the industry, trade, and investment in Balochistan. Along with this, Germany will provide full support to the provincial government in providing technical skills in various fields and providing technical and vocational training for the youth, Dr. Lutz said.
He said that Balochistan is a region with unique characteristics regarding investments in the fields of minerals, agriculture, alternative energy, livestock, and marine production.
The Chief Minister expressed his opinion on the occasion that German investors will be attracted and today’s Balochistan is different from the past, the atmosphere of peace and harmony is maintained throughout the province.
“Balochistan’s vast area, long coastline, and mineral provide immense investment opportunities”, Mr. Bizenjo said.
The CM Balochistan stated that, the effort of the provincial government is to provide a peaceful and friendly environment to the investors. The provincial government has recently signed the historical agreement of Reko Diq, the fruits of which will be seen by the masses of the province very soon.
The German Consul General appreciated the steps of the provincial government and stated that Germany attaches great importance to its relations with Pakistan.
