Gas Power supplies remain suspended in Balochistan for fourth consecutive day

Gas and power supplies remain suspended in Balochistan for fourth consecutive day. Quetta and other parts of the province are badly hit by recent flash floods. A few days ago the main gas line supplying Quetta and a few other districts of Balochistan was destroyed by powerful waves of floods in Bolan. Almost 220kV energy crisis began in the province when floods destroyed the transmission line of Uch-Sibi Power plant.
The city went to stone ages after having no gas and power supply for last few days. The power crisis also effected mobile and internet services throughout the province equally.
No Mobile Phone and Internet services for last 5 days:
The habibants of Quetta, provincial capital of Balochistan, are living life without mobile phone and internet services for last 5 days. Quetta and most parts of the province are totally disconnect with rest of the country via PTCL, Mobile phone, and internet services due to fibre cut caused by flash floods. I live in Karachi, and am not able to contact my family for last few days, Mr Israr Ullah, a student from Balochistan told Quetta Voice.

Work on Gas Pipeline Repairment to begin soon, SSGC
The work on repairment of Gas pipeline broken by floods in Bolan to begin soon, Sui Southern Gas Company limited. Our workers and engineers went to the site of gas pipe in bolan but could not start repairment process due to heavy water flow, a SSGC official told Quetta Voice. Within two to three days we will repair the gas pipeline and supply to whole city will be started soon, after the water flow is reduced, he added.
