QUETTA: The appointment of Army Chief was completely according to the constitution, Ahsan Iqbal , Federal Minister for Planning Commission stated while talking to media. According to constitution of Pakistan, the appointment of the Army Chief is authority of the Prime Minister, he added.
He said that the two senior most officers were assigned the posts and President has also signed the summary as it was according to law and constitution.
While talking to media he stated that elections can be held only after economic revival, census process and 6 months are required for rehabilitation after the flash floods.
Imran Khan wants early elections, he himself knows that technically it is not possible, the federal minister added.
