QUETTA: Chief Minister Balochistan, Jam Kamal Khan chaired a high level meeting to review the pace of work on Quetta Safe City Project on Tuesday. Chief Secretary Balochistan, Fazeel Asghar, Inspector General Police, Mohsin Ahsan Butt and other high level officials attended the meeting.
The meeting was briefed about the pace of work on the Safe City Project worth 2.48 billion rupees. The meeting was told that 1426 secret cameras were being installed in Quetta under the project. Initially, cameras have been installed at airport road in this regard.
The meeting was informed that security was being beefed up at six entry points in the city and vigilant eye was being kept on all vehicles leaving and entering into Quetta city.
The Chief Minister on the occasion directed the concerned quarters to turn safe city project into a smart project and asked the authorities to make sure early completion of the project. He said the safe city project was an important project, which would address the question of security in the city in future.
