Sindh’s health ministry has confirmed eight new cases of corona virus on Monday evening. 13 new corona virus cases have been confirmed in Karachi and three in the federal capital. The number of corona virus cases have risen to 16 across the country.

Earlier Meeran Yousaf, Sindh health department’s media coordinator confirmed that a 53 year old man from Karachi has been tested positive for corona virus. The patient had recent travel history of Syria via Doha, the capital of Qatar in recent. All contacts of the patient have been quarantined, Meeran Yousaf said.

The virus has claimed over 3800 lives worldwide and affected 110000 people globally. China’s mainland has been the worst hit area.

On Monday, the United Nations economists warned that the corona virus is likely to cost world economy from 1 trillion dollars to 2 million dollars. The virus has spread to around 80 countries of the world.

Italy has quarantined over 10 million to halt the spread of corona virus in the country.

South Korea has also recorded over 7000 cases of corona virus. A specific religious community in South Korea has been the worst affected as most of the cases have been reported from there.
