In Balochistan, 14 doctors and 4 health care-workers battling the coronavirus have been tested positive so far in the province. The doctors include seniors and juniors serving in Quetta’s civil and Bolan Medical Complex Hospital, the Young Doctors Association in a statement released in its Whatsapp group said on Tuesday night.

The condition of doctors and health care workers infected with coronavirus has been stated to be in stable condition. The doctors had complained about lack of personal protective equipment (PPEs) earlier. However, Spokesman government of Balochistan, Liaquat Shahwani said the doctors battling the coronavirus have been provided PPEs.

The infected health professionals have been quarantined at government-run Sheikh Zayed Hospital Quetta for medical treatment. However, Quetta Voice has learnt that some doctors infected with the virus have quarantined themselves at their homes to battle the disease. “My condition has improved”, one of the senior doctors infected with coronavirus told Quetta Voice via telephone.
