QUETTA: The novel coronavirus has claimed five lives so far in Balochistan. However, the number of people tested positive for the COVID-19 has reached 305 on Thursday evening. The province has seen a sharp rise in the number of cases during the last two days.

According to statistics shared by the corona cell established by health directorate, so far 4,427 tests have been conducted in the province. However, 23 patients were tested positive for the virus on Thursday, the cell mentioned.

The Cell mentioned that 142 patients have recovered from COVID-19 so far. The government has also decided to establish four laboratories in interior Balochistan to make sure maximum tests of suspected patients. “We are trying to conduct 5,000 tests in the province”, the Chief Minister Balochistan, Jam Kamal said.

The Balochistan government has stepped up efforts to make sure maximum tests of suspected patients, the Chief Minister said.

As per the corona cell statistics, up till now, the result of 4124 patients have come negative in Balochistan.
