Sardar Mustafa Khan Tareen, Balochistan's former local bodies minister who died of coronavirus in Quetta

QUETTA: Sardar Mustafa Khan Tareen, the central leader of Pashtoonkhwa Milli Awami Party (PKMAP) and former local bodies minister Balochistan died of coronavirus on Wednesday afternoon. Sardar Mustafa Tareen was admitted in an emergency condition in civil hospital Quetta and breathed his last, hospital sources told daily Quetta Voice via telephone.

The doctors had kept him on ventilator because of his deteriorating health condition. Sardar was tested positive for the novel coronavirus. He is the first high-level political figure who died of the COVID-19 in Balochistan.

Sardar Mustafa Tareen had served as a local bodies minister in Dr. Malik Baloch led coalition government in Balochistan in the past. He was however repeatedly elected as a member of provincial assembly from Balochistan’s Pishin district.

Chief Minister Balochistan, Jam Kamal Khan has expressed condolence over his demise and prayed that may Allah Almighty bless on the departed soul.
