Member National Assembly (MNA) from Balochistan, Muhammad Aslam Bhootani has announced to challenge the appointment of former federal information minister, Javed Jabbar as a member of the National Finance Commission (NFC) award from Balochistan in the court.
The former minister was appointed as a member of Balochistan in NFC a few days back. His nomination has been criticized by political and social segments of society. Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan had better chosen an expert from Balochistan to present the province’s case in the NFC award, Mr. Bhootani said.
Does Javed Jabbar know about Balochistan ?, Mr. Bhootani questioned. Bhootani has also served as speaker of the Balochistan Assembly during Nawab Aslam Raisani led government.
He demanded of President Arif Alvi to cancel the recommendation and appoint any suitable person from the province. He however announced the renowned lawyer, Amanullah Kanrani would present him in this regard in the court of law.
