In Balochistan, 1733 patients have recovered from the novel coronavirus since the outbreak of the pandemic in the province. According to the Corona Cell’s daily situation report, most of the patients have recovered at their homes while battling the deadly virus. However, over two dozen serious patients have been battling the virus at Fatima Jinnah Chest and General Hospital Quetta.

Balochistan health department confirmed 292 new cases of the novel coronavirus on Tuesday as the tally reached 4,740 in the province. Most of the cases have been reported from Quetta, the provincial capital of Balochistan province. However, cases appear to be on a constant rise in Pishin, Killa Abdullah and some other districts of the province.

Balochistan government has so far conducted over 24,000 tests of the coronavirus in the province.

The Corona Cell has also confirmed 49 deaths caused by the deadly virus in the province. The provincial government also intends to set up corona laboratories at the division level to improve the testing capacity and reach out to maximum people.

“We have decided to improve testing capacity in the province”, Liaquat Shahwani, the Spokesman government of Balochistan told the daily Quetta Voice the other day.

Some districts of Balochistan have seen a sharp rise in the number of deaths of aged people in the aftermath of the pandemic.
