Father of the young man lynched to death in Quetta’s Hazara Town the other day has made a desperate appeal to the people to stay calm and peaceful. In a video message shared on social media on Monday, the broken father, Sharafuddin clarified that the culprits involved the murder of his son have already been arrested by police.

“Let the court decide”, he said in the video. Bilal Noorzai, a young man was lynched to death by a mob in Quetta’s Hazara Town the other day. Two colleagues of Bilal were injured and they are still under treatment. The grief-stricken father’s video has come a day after hate speech on social media in this regard.

Chief Minister Balochistan, Jam Kamal Khan in a tweet mentioned that FIR was lodged against the accused, and 12 were already arrested by police in the murder of a young man. Police have also arrested the owner of the barbershop, where the untoward incident took place. “Yes, the accused Jawad is in police custody”, a senior police officer who declined to be named told the daily Quetta Voice. He requested anonymity owing to the sensitivity of the matter.
