Spokesman government of Balochistan, Liaquat Shahwani has said that the novel coronavirus has claimed 11 lives within 24 hours the other day in the province. This is the highest number of deaths in one day since the outbreak of the pandemic.

Addressing a press conference, Mr. Shahwani stated that the province has so far conducted over 34,000 tests and out of them over 7,000 have been declared positive. The Balochistan government is trying hard to provide plasma of recovered patients to those battling the deadly virus. One plasma kit costs Rs. 50,000, he added. He demanded of the recovered patients to donate plasma to save precious human lives.

The Spokesman said that the province was facing the problem of lack of ventilators and now the government has arranged 100 ventilators to facilitate the patients.

Regarding opposition protest, Mr. Shahwani said that it was very strange that opposition comes on roads in the month of June. He strongly condemned what he called the undemocratic attitude of opposition towards the government.

Mr. Shahwani asserted that opposition has badly failed to address to issues of the masses.
