Staff Reporter:

Spokesman government of Balochistan, Liaquat Shahwani on Thursday said that all cattle markets would be set up outside main Quetta city to halt the spread of coronavirus. Mr. Shahwani expressed these while addressing a press conference.

The step has been taken following fast-approaching Eid ul Azha. “If SOPs were not adopted, cases are likely to rise during Eid ul Azha”, Mr. Shahwani said. Law enforcers would be deployed at all cattle markets and those violating the SOPs would be arrested, the Spokesman said.

Mr. Shahwani stated that the recovery ratio has increased in Balochistan, which is a good omen. This week, cases decreased, he added. Balochistan has so far 10,608 cases of the novel coronavirus. However, the province has confirmed 121 deaths caused by the deadly virus. Over 4,000 patients have recovered from the deadly virus up til now. Most of the patients have recovered at their homes while battling the deadly virus.
