Chief Minister Balochistan, Jam Kamal Khan has directed all deputy commissioners to verify domicile and local certificates of all employees working in federal departments. As part of crack-down against fake domiciles, the CM has directed all deputy commissioners to verify local and domicile certificates, the Spokesman government of Balochistan, Liaquat Shahwani told reporters at his regular press conference on Monday.

Mr. Shahwani informed that 743 people were posted in various federal government departments from district Mastung. The deputy commissioner Mastung has already canceled 400 fake domicile certificates the other day, the daily Quetta Voice has reported earlier.

“For the first time, deputy commissioners have been directed to verify domicile certificates”, chief minister Balochistan, Jam Kamal Khan took to Twitter the other day. Governor Balochistan, Justice (R) Amanullah Khan Yaseenzai has also hailed the DC Mastung for cancelation of fake domicile certificates, a statement obtained by the daily Quetta Voice said.

Regarding the CPEC, Mr. Shahwani stated that Gwadar was the heart of the giant project and that Balochistan was earlier ignored in this regard. He said the present government has highlighted the case of Balochistan before the federal government and demanded of the Center to prioritize projects relating to the province.

About the closure of the Chaman border, Mr. Shahwani informed that a high-level delegation of ministers visited Chaman and met with various segments of society regarding the closure of the border. He said that financial assistance would be provided to those affected by the closure of the border.
