The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested two accused involved in the harassment of a woman through fake social media accounts in Quetta. The accused had used the name and pictures of the woman and made fake Facebook accounts, sources in the FIA told the daily Quetta Voice on Thursday.

The accused had harmed the dignity of the woman through her pictures and name on social media, he said. Both accused have been shifted to FIA’s regional headquarter for interrogation. The accused have confessed to making fake social media accounts, using the woman’s photos.

FIA has also recovered hard-disk, mobile phones, and memory cards from the possession of the accused, the official informed. A case has been registered against the accused under the Cyber Crime Act.

FIA had already arrested an accused involved in blackmailing of a female teacher in Balochistan’s Dera Murad Jamal a few days back.
