Government-run schools across Balochistan paint a very bleak picture when it comes to the quality of construction, buildings and basic facilities. Over 5,000 government-run schools are with one-room one teacher across Balochistan, Ghulam Ali Baloch revealed. The Balochistan government had turned down the request of the education department for the construction of additional rooms for one-room schools in the province.
Initial reports suggest the school is located in union council Kot Magsi Dur Muhammad Admani in Balochistan’s Jhal Magsi. Like in other parts of the country, educational institutions are closed in the aftermath of outbreak of novel coronavirus.
Apart from this, the number of non-functional and ghost schools across Balochistan is over 3,200 as per the statistics shared by education department.
