At least one person was killed and seven people were injured in a blast in Balochistan’s Tubat city on Tuesday. Police sourced told the daily Quetta Voice that the condition of one of the injured is stated to be serious. The injured were rushed to the district headquarters hospital for medical treatment. Police and personnel of other law enforcement agencies reached the spot as investigation into the incident went underway.

The blast was heard far and wide causing panic in the city. Bomb disposal squad was called to clear the site of the explosion. Police said unknown miscreants had planted an improvised explosive device in a honda motorcycle parked outside a shop in Turbat Bazar. The intensity of the blast smashed the glasses of nearby shops also.

Chief Minister Balochistan, Jam Kamal Khan strongly condemned the terrorist incident and said that perpetrators of the terrorist attack would be brought to book. He said the terrorists targeted innocent citizens and that government was committed to fighting terrorists.

The Chief Minister directed the authorities to provide better health facilities to the injured of the blast.
