PDM least bothered about democracy: BAP leaders

QUETTA: Leaders of the ruling Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) on Sunday claimed the newly formed Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) least bothered about democracy in the country. In a joint press conference, the BAP leaders said the leaders of PDM were trying to again deceive the masses.

“Quetta public meeting will fail”, Manzoor Kakar, the Central Secretary-General of the ruling party claimed. He said the opposition parties had no agenda of masses rather they were trying to protect their corruption.

PDM to hold its first anti-government public meeting in Quetta 

The opposition parties across the country had announced to hold its first anti-government public meeting in Quetta on October 11. Opposition parties have been conducting corner meetings to make the public meeting a success in Quetta.

“During power, Nawaz Sharif forgot all smaller provinces”, Mr. Kakar said. Bushra Rind, a female legislator, Liaquat Shahwani, the Spokesman government of Balochistan, Mobeen Khilji of Pakistan Tehrik e Insaf (PTI), were also present on the occasion.

PDM will not attract masses of Balochistan: Liaquat Shawhani 

“PDM is a failed movement”, Liaquat Shahwani, the Spokesman government of Balochistan remarked. He reiterated that the opposition parties would not attract masses since the present government determined to address masses issues.

“Opposition is protesting for getting political relief”, Mobeen Khilji asserted. He said the PDM chief Maulana Fazal ur Rehman was protesting since the government has taken all perks and privileges from him.

The BAP leaders said the Balochistan government would not create any obstacle in the way of opposition parties protesting against the government. However, they warned that none would be allowed to take the law into his hands. They termed the opposition political parties’ October 11 protest meeting in Quetta as a conspiracy against peace and development.
