India spending $500m to create unrest in Balochistan: Minister

QUETTA: Home Minister Balochistan, Mir Ziaullah Langove has said India was spending $500m at per annum to sponsor terrorist activities to create unrest in the province. “India is sponsoring and funding terrorist groups”, Mr.Langove told reporters at a crowded news conference on Friday.
The minister’s remarks have come after a deadly terrorist attacked in the country’s coastal belt on Thursday. 14 security personnel including 7 frontier corps and 7 private guards of an oil exploration company martyred in the attack. The terrorist attack has caused countrywide outrage.
“India is spending huge amounts to create unrest in Balochistan”, the minister said. He however said terrorist activities reduced in Balochistan in the aftermath of successful operations by security forces. “We will not spare perpetrators of recent terrorist attacks”, the Home Minister said. “No incident of sectarian terrorism has taken a place for a long time”, Mr. Langove said.
A soldier martyred 5 injured in Kech Balochistan
To a question, he informed a terrorist incident has taken a place in the Kech district of Balochistan today (Friday), giving no other details. Security sources said security personnel martyred and five other injured in a terrorist attack in Balochistan’s Kech district.
The Home Minister Balochistan said the main reason behind targeting the Mekran belt was the Gwadar Deep Sea Project. The enemy is uncomfortable with the development of Gwadar and Mekran division, Mr. Langove stated. People of Balochistan would foil the conspiracies of the enemy through unity, he said.
Political parties, human rights activists, and members of civil society have strongly condemned the terror attack in the Coastal belt and demanded of the government to arrest the culprits. The terrorists must be given exemplary punishment and they should be taught lessons, they demanded.
