India finances terrorism in Balochistan: Minister

QUETTA: Home Minister Balochistan, Mir Ziaullah Langove on Thursday said India continues to finance terrorism in Balochistan. The enemy has invested huge amounts to create unrest here, the Minister told a crowded press conference in Quetta. The minister had earlier said that India was investing $500 m in Balochistan to carry out subversive activities.
NACTA issues threat alert: CM Balochistan
Mr. Langove’s statement has come after the National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA) issued a threat letter in the upcoming days in Quetta and Peshawar. Chief Minister Balochistan, Jam Kamal Khan also took to Twitter and said that NACTA has shared threat alert, and now what he called it is up to the ‘non-serious opposition’ how it takes it.
The Chief Minister stated that the last few incidents in Ormara and Mekran are clear signs where enemies shall not leave any opportunity unturned. However, the Balochistan National Party (BNP) chief Sardar Akhtar Mengal responded to the CM and said the provision of security is the responsibility of the government, not the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM).
“No obstacle in the way of public meeting”, Langove
“We will not create any obstacle in the way of opposition rally”, home minister Zia Langove stated. He said holding the public meetings was the democratic right of opposition parties however they should refrain from hatred speeches.
The Minister stated that all law enforcement agencies directed to provide fool-proof security to the opposition’s public meeting. “The government will not stop people at any point”, he assured.
The 11-party anti-government alliance has announced to hold its public meeting on October 25 in Quetta. The component parties of the alliance have displayed their flags, banners to attract a huge crowd to mount pressure on Prime Minister Imran Khan-led government. The administration has beefed up security in the city to maintain law and order situation in the city.
