Kalat 8-Year Old Boy Murder, police interrogating 10 suspects

Police have been interrogating 10 suspects in connection with the rape and murder of an 8-year old boy in Balochistan’s Kalat district. The Deputy Inspector General (DIG) police Kalat, Javed Odho arrived in Kalat on Wednesday to review the progress with regard to the investigation of the case. “Police interrogating 10 suspects regarding the cold-blooded murder”, the DIG revealed while talking to reporters.

Unknown accused had raped and murdered an 8-year old boy in Kalat district of Balochistan. Political parties, civil society, and human rights groups have strongly condemned the incident. Dr. Ayesha, the police surgeon in Quetta’s civil hospital said the boy was first raped and then brutally murdered.

“Medical report proves the minor boy was raped more than by one accused”, she informed. The accused had killed the minor boy with blunt weapons including stones, the medial report showed.

The DIG police also visited the residence of the broken family to offer fateha. The broken father of the minor satisfied with the ongoing police investigation into the tragic act, the DIG police mentioned. He said the Balochistan police chief Mohsin Hassan Butt has also taken notice of the barbaric act and directed for the immediate arrest of the culprits involved. “Within 15 minutes case registered regarding the brutal murder of child”, the DIG police said.

Home Minister Balochistan, Mir Ziaullah Langove had also taken notice of the incident and directed police to arrest the culprits. This incident has come three weeks after an 8-year old minor boy murdered in a similar incident in Maizai Addah area of Killa Abdullah district.

In August this year, a non-government organization i.e Sahil revealed in a report that 1,489 children, at least eight per day, sexually abused in the first half of the ongoing year in Pakistan. The report revealed that the victims included 785 girls and 704 boys.
