JUI F removes Hafiz as secretary information for criticizing Nawaz, Maulana

QUETTA: Jamiat ul Ulema e Islam (JUI) removed Hafiz Hussain Ahmed as central secretary information after criticizing Nawaz Sharif and Maulana Fazal ur Rehman. Hafiz Hussain Ahmed, the central secretary of information of the religious group had criticized former premier Nawaz Sharif for his recent statements against armed forces. The party’s main decision-making body i.e. Majlis e Shura appointed Aslam Ghuri as the head of the information.
Maulana Wasey, the JUI F Balochistan Amir said the decision against Hafiz Hussain Ahmed made after the meeting of the central executive committee of the party. About his party membership, a committee has been formed to look into the matter, Maulana Wasey informed.
The JUI F leader had lashed out at Nawaz Sharif
In an interview, Hafiz Hussain Ahmed strongly criticized former premier Nawaz Sharif, Shehbaz Sharif, and Maryam Nawaz Sharif. He had termed Nawaz as a conspirator in an interview a week ago.
Maulana Wasey stated that Hafiz Hussain Ahmed had given statements to the press in violation of the party policy. “I am also part of the committee that would decide the fate of basic membership of Hafiz Hussain Ahmed”, the Maulana mentioned. The committee has the mandate to make the final decision.
Sources close to Hafiz Hussain Ahmed said so far no show-cause notice served by the party’s high command. They however said Hafiz Hussain would also address a press conference to explain his position.
Hafiz Hussain Ahmed is one of the senior leaders of JUI F
Hafiz Hussain Ahmed is considered to be one of the senior leaders of the JUI F. He remained a member of the national assembly and senator on the ticket of the religious group in the past. Mr. Ahmed belongs to Balochistan’s Mastung district and has been part of the religious group for the last 50 years.
