Qasim Suri calls for arrest of Umeed Khan’s killers

The Deputy Speaker of National Assembly, Qasim Khan Suri has demanded the arrest of culprits involved in the brutal murder of Umeed Khan. The 12-year old Khan killed in a cross-firing incident on Archer road area of Quetta the other day.

The Deputy Speaker spoke to the broken family members via telephone from Islamabad on Sunday morning. He expressed condolence over the sad incident and assured that the culprits would be brought to justice. “Accused must be punished”, he assured.

Parents mourning the tragic murder of their only son

The only son of his parents, Umeed Khan was bringing bread from Tandoor (bread shop) when killed in the firing incident. The innocent minor boy’s murder caused outrage across the country. People demanded the arrest of the culprits behind the cold-blooded murder.

On social media networks, people have also criticized the police for what they claim their failure to apprehend the culprits. They have shared videos and images of Umeed Khan on their pages and Twitter accounts. However, police said two suspects have been taken into custody regarding the tragic incident.

Scores of people belonging to various walks of life visited the residence of Umeed Khan in Chaman to express solidarity with his broken family members. Heartbreaking scenes witnessed during the fateha of the minor-boy.
