All 6 trapped miners recovered: Chief Inspector Mines Balochistan

All 6 trapped miners safely recovered in Balochistan’s Chamalang area. Shafqat Fayyaz, the Chief Inspector Mines told Quetta Voice via phone that the rescue operation completed and all six trapped miners recovered unhurt. “Yes, all 6 trapped miners recovered successfully”, Mr. Fayyaz confirmed. For nine hours, the rescue operation was underway. The Frontier Corps also extended support to the rescue workers to make sure unhurt recovery of the trapped miners, Mr. Fayyaz informed.

A sigh of relief when miners saw their trapped colleagues appearing alive 

The tribesmen and miners from nearby mines chanted slogans in the support of security forces and rescue workers, the movement, the trapped miners appeared alive. The miners trapped inside the coal mine when abruptly fire erupted inside the mine, Iftikhar Ahmed, a police officer earlier said. A rescue operation launched for the recovery of the trapped miners.

Rescue workers dispatched through helicopter from Quetta 

The provincial government had dispatched rescue workers in a helicopter from Quetta to rescue the trapped miners. “Despite difficulties, all six miners reduced”, Shafqat Fayyaz said. Earlier he said that rescue workers had lost contact with the trapped miners.

The miners shifted to a nearby basic health unit since they had suffered minor injuries as a result of the fire incident. “They all are in stable condition”, Iftikhar Ahmed, the police officer quoting doctors told Quetta Voice.
