JUI Pakistan not Fazal ur Rehman: Sherani announces countrywide campaign

QUETTA: Maulana Muhammad Khan Sherani on Monday said the party’s registered name with the election commission is Jamiat ul Ulema e Islam Pakistan, not JUI (F). “We are and we were not part of JUI (F)”, Maulana Sherani, one of the dissident leaders within the religious party told a news conference.
Former senators Hafiz Hussain Ahmed, Dr. Ismail Buledi, senator Maulana Gul Naseeb, and others were also present on the occasion.
Coordination offices at all districts: Sherani
Maulana Sherani announced the establishment of coordination offices across Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to organized the party. “We have decided to launch mass-contact”, the Maulana who headed the JUI for over two decades in Balochistan said.
Regarding the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), Maulana Sherani said, “no future of PDM”. He said the threat for the anti-government movement was within not from outside.
“Our struggle is against family domination of JUI”, Hafiz Hussain
In response to a question, Hafiz Hussain Ahmed said their struggle was to end family politics and domination from JUI. “They only accommodated their brothers”, he claimed without mentioning the name of Maulana Fazal ur Rehman, the Chief of JUI (F).
This was for the first time that dissidents within the religious groups announced opposition of Maulana Fazal ur Rehman’s policies at a formal forum.

“I clearly stated, we cannot support Nawaz Sharif’s narrative”, Hafiz Hussain Ahmed said.
The JUI F has already issued show-cause notices to the dissidents including Maulana Muhammad Khan Sherani, Hafiz Hussain Ahmed, Senator Gul Naseeb for violation of party policy.
The JUI dissidents vowed to continue what they call the struggle against family politics and domination despite difficulties.
