Strong earthquake jolts Islamabad Lahore

A strong earthquake jolted Islamabad, Lahore, and other parts of Pakistan. The earthquake also jolted the Indian capital New Dehli and some Central Asian States.
In heartbeat, people came out of their homes in Islamabad and Lahore. Tremors also felt in Khyber Pukhtoonkhwa and the erstwhile FATA. Immediately, there was no report of any human loss. The epicenter of the earthquake was in Tajikistan in Central Asia. The depth of the earthquake was 80km. According to the Met Department, the earthquake originated at 10:02 pm and its magnitude was recorded at 6.4 on the Ritcher scale.
The United States Geological Survey recorded the magnitude at 5.9, with a depth of 91.6 km and its epicenter at 35 km west of Murghob in Tajikistan.
The quake sent people rushing out of their homes in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, and other cities. Citizens took to social media to express concern over the tremors.
Earthquake tremors also felt in India. However, there was no report of any human loss.
