From Our Correspondent :

Iranian authorities have handed over 140 illegal immigrants to levies officials at Pak-Iran border Taftan on Monday morning. The illegal immigrants were trying to reach European countries via Iran and Turkey when arrested.

Iranian forces had arrested the illegal immigrants in various Iranian cities, levies officials said. They had entered into Iran through unfrequented routes illegally, levies said.

126 illegal immigrants belong to Punjab

126 illegal immigrants belong to Punjab, 9 Khyber Pukhtoonkhwa, 3 Sindh, and 8 Balochistan. Levies further handed over the 140 illegal immigrants to the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA). The FIA would produce them before the court of law in Quetta.

Every year, thousands of Pakistani illegal immigrants make abortive attempts to reach Greece, a European country. They use unfrequented routes in Iran and Turkey to reach Europe. Very few manage to reach Greece as most of them are arrested either in Iran or Turkey.
