2 Navy men martyred in a terror attack near Gwadar

GWADAR: 2 Navy men martyred and one injured in a terrorist attack in Gans area of Gwadar district. Security sources said the vehicle of Navy personnel was on a routine patrolling in Gans Jewni area when terrorists opened fire on it.

As a result of the firing, two Navy personnel martyred and another one sustained injuries. The injured Navy personnel rushed to Gwadar hospital for medical treatment. The deceased identified as Sohail, the sailor, and Noman. The inj­ured was identified as Raza.

Security personnel reached the spot after the attack

Soon after the terror act, a huge contingent of security forces reached the spot and started investigating the terror act. Captain (R) Athar Abbas, the Assistant Commissioner Gwadar said security forces have cordoned off the area in the aftermath of the terrorist attack.

He however said no arrest made after the terror act. Security tightened in and around Gans area in the aftermath of the terrorist attack. Checking at all entry and exit points enhanced after the attack.

Buledi condemns the attack :

Finance Minister Balochistan, Zahoor Buledi strongly condemned the terrorist act and vowed that the perpetrators of the attack would be brought to justice. The minister took to social media network Twitter and expressed grief and sorrows over the human loss.

Mr. Buledi said the government would take all possible steps to arrest the culprits behind the terrorist act. “Government would bring the perpetrators of the attack to the book”, he said.

This incident has come a day after a blast in Balochistan’s Sibi district killed 5 labourers. The blast had also injured 5 people including 2 security men. The security men were guarding the labourers when the attack by miscreants in the Babar Kach area of Sibi district.
