NAB files references against 38 officials of Balochistan revenue department

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) filed three separate references against 38 officials of the Balochistan Revenue Department on Tuesday. The anti-corruption bureau unearthed Rs. 550 million’s land scandal in Gwadar, the country’s port city, the Spokesman NAB said.

The accused had inflicted huge financial losses to the national exchequer through fraudulent means. The accused had conducted fake sales of land and tampered revenue record, he said.

Accused allotted 1738 hecters of land illegally 

During the investigation, it was revealed that the accused Naib Tehsildar, Maqbool Ahmed, Agha Zafar Hussain, and Hafeez ur Rehman and others allotted 1738 hecters of land illegally.

They sold out the land to private people while inflicting a financial loss of Rs. 32 crore to the national exchequer.

NAB files reference in the Accountability Court Quetta 

NAB Balochistan filed the reference at the Accountablity Court Quetta against the accused. NAB has intensified its operations against the corrupt elements operating in various government departments in the province.

NAB unearths massive corruption in the Fisheries department 

The anti-corruption bureau had recently unearthed a mega corruption scandal in the Fisheries department government of Balochistan. NAB has also arrested some key officers involved in massive corruption in the Fisheries department.
