Quetta: NADRA official injured in a firing incident

Armed men opened fire and injured a National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) official in Quetta’s Qambrani road area. Police sources said armed men on a motorcycle opened fire and seriously injured Abdul Nasir Kakar, a NADRA official.
Rescue workers and residents of the area reached the spot and shifted the injured to civil hospital Quetta for medical treatment. Police and personnel of other law enforcement agencies reached the spot as investigation into the incident went underway.
Police Kakar was a NADRA official and was going to office when attacked by miscreants. Motives behind the attack could not be ascertained immediately, police stated.
