PSDP automation cell to ensure transparency timely completion of projects: Jam Kamal

Chief Minister Balochistan, Jam Kamal Khan on Thursday said Public Sector Development Program (PSDP) automation cell would ensure transparency and timely completion of projects. “Software developed for automization of PSPD will ensure good governance”, Jam Kamal said.

The CM expressed these views after inaugurating the PSDP automation cell at the civil secretariat. Chief Secretary Balochistan, Mathar Niaz Rana, Additional Chief Secretary (Development), Hafiz Abdul Basit, and other officials were also present on the occasion.

GoB focusing on automated decision-making systems 

The government of Balochistan is increasingly looking towards automated decision-making systems for good governance including procedures to improve the delivery of public investment management, Monitoring and Evaluation of the development projects keeping transparency and accountability as top priorities.

“We must adopt the latest technology in order to avoid delayed manual processes and to avoid piling up the conventional governmental tasks”, the Chief Minister said. He stated SDP automation system will expedite the conventional procedures of Provincial PSDP and will impact Socioeconomic indicators and access to education for the masses.

Jam Kamal said PSDP automation is the need of the hour and it will improve planning processes with timely facilitation amongst planners (upstream), implementers (downstream), and inter and intradepartmental working.

Planning process to be carried from top to bottom 

Through the PSDP automation, the planning process will be carried out from top to bottom and bottom to a top approach involving over 30 administrative departments, authorities, divisional commissioners, and civil society. Integration and implementation of monitoring and evaluation indicators as per the planning commission manual and guidelines are truly incorporated in the PSDP automation project to streamline PSDP formulation in the province.

CM appreciates P&D and GPP for taking this initiative 

Chief Minister congratulated Planning and Development Department for their efforts and Governance and Policy Project for their extended technical and financial support for PSDP automation and emphasized the adoption of technology in all the line departments for swift processes and improved service delivery.
