The protesting teachers had ended their strike outside Quetta Press Club following an assurance by the Balochistan education minister, Sardar Yar Muhammad Rind. Under the agreement, the Balochistan government had agreed to make around 1,000 girls’ schools functional and regularize the teachers.

Balochistan Budget: 1493 vacancies created for GPE teachers

QUETTA: Balochistan government has created 1493 vacancies to regularise female teachers recruited under the Global Partnership for Education (GPE) project. Zahoor Buledi, the Finance Minister took to social media network Twitter and announced the decision of the provincial government.

“As per our commitment with international partners, we have created these vacancies”, Mr. Buledi said.
