Hindu pilgrims blocked Mekran Coastal Highway near the ancient Hinglaj Mata temple as policemen stopped them. Police stopped the pilgrims because of increasing cases of COVID19 cases in the area.

Women and children were also among the protesters. The protesters caused the suspension of the traffic and chanted full-throated slogans against the administration. The pilgrims were asking the police and administration to open the highway so that they could perform their religious rituals.

A huge contingent of police reached the spot to maintain the law and order situation on the occasion.

Subsequently, the administration held successful negotiations with protesters and they were peacefully dispersed.
