QUETTA: Former finance minister Balochistan, Zahoor Buledi has been appointed as the acting President Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) on Tuesday evening. BAP founder Senator Saeed Ahmed Hashmi chaired an important meeting of parliamentarians and other leaders and made the decision. “Yes, appointed as the BAP acting president”, Mr. Buledi confirmed to daily Quetta Voice. He preferred not to comment over the differences within the ruling party.
Since Jam Kamal Khan, Chief Minister Balochistan had resigned as the President of BAP, therefore, the party has decided to appoint Zahoor Buledi as the acting president of the party, a press release issued by the ruling party said.
The BAP central secretary general Manzoor Kakar had signed the press release widely shared on social media. The BAP’s angry members had earlier nominated Mr. Buledi as the parliamentary leader of the BAP.
