ACS Home Balochistan to lead committee about Chaman border

CHAMAN: Additional Chief Secretary (Home) Balochistan will lead a committee comprising senior officials to solve issues relating to the Pak-Afghan border Chaman. Chief Secretary Balochistan, Mathar Niaz Rana has directed the establishment of the committee to resolve issues of the masses pertaining to the border. The traders’ community, daily wage workers would be taken into confidence to solve issues relating to the border.

The committee will contact the Afghan side to find an amicable solution to issues relating to the border between the two countries, Mr. Rana said. However, the CS has not given any time frame to the committee for a solution to the border issues.

Chaman border remains closed for 13th consecutive day

The formation of the committee has come after the continued closure of the Pak-Afghan border Chaman. The border remained closed for the 13th consecutive day between Pakistan and Afghanistan.

The closure of the border has severely affected trade activities between the two countries. Political parties, traders’ communities, and daily wage workers have been protesting for the opening of the border. The political parties staged repeated protest rallies against the closure of the border.
