Governor distributes relief items among Harnai earthquake survivors

Governor Balochistan, Syed Zahoor Ahmed Agha visited earthquake affected district Harnai on Monday. The Governor distributed relief items among the earthquake survivors and conducted an aerial visit of the earthquake affected areas.

Speaking on the occasion, the Governor said the government was committed to support the earthquake survivors in this hour of trial and trouble. “Your government will not leave you alone”, Governor Agha told the survivors.

Pakistan Tehrik e Insaf (PTI) MPA, Mir Naseebullah Marri, Director-General Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA), Naseer Ahmed Nasar and Director General Benazir Income Support Program (BISP), Abdul Jabbar also accompanied the Governor during the visit.

Governor Balochistan stated that Pak Army, Frontier Corps, PDMA, district administration have made hectic efforts to rescue the survivors and worked for their rehabilitation. He said the government was well aware about the difficulties of the survivors. He assured that the government would ensure better reconstruction of damaged houses of the people.

An earthquake had hit hard Harnai and surrounding villages earlier in October this year. The earthquake had claimed 20 lives and left over 200 people injured.
