Kalat patients were not Omicron variant positive: Laboratory report

QUETTA: Laboratory report did not find omicron variant among 12 suspected patients from Balochistan’s Kalat district.
Earlier, the health department had declared 12 patients omicron variant suspected.
Report from the National Institute of Health (NIH) said the patients were not omicron positive rather they were COVID-19, Dr. Ghulam Mustafa, the Incharge COVID-19 operation cell said.
Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Quddus Bizenjo had also taken notice of the report of Omicron variant.
