Several mud-walled houses damaged after heavy rainfall in Chaman

Several mud-walled houses were damaged in the aftermath of heavy rainfall in Chaman, Pakistan’s bordering city with neighboring Afghanistan. Rainfall has caused cracks in mud-walled houses and walls in Chaman and surrounding villages. The affected villages include Killi Salehzai, Mehmoodabad, Killi Rozuddin and other areas.

Deputy Commissioner Chaman, Captain (R) Jumadad Khan Mandokhail visited rain-affected areas of the district. The DC directed the concerned quarters to expedite the relief work in the affected areas. Rainfall started on Tuesday evening. It was underway till filing of this report.

Emergency was declared in the entire district after heavy rainfall. The DC dispatched rescue and relief teams to the affected areas after heavy rainfall.
