Five of a family killed in a traffic accident in Mangochar Balochistan

Five of a family were killed in a deadly traffic accident in the Mangochar area of Kalat district Balochistan. Levies sources said a car collided with a passenger bus coming from Karachi to Quetta. Elder of the ill-fated family Fareed Ahmed and four members of the family were killed in the traffic accident.

The ill-fated family belongs to the Pishin district of Balochistan. The vehicle carrying the family was completely destroyed in the traffic accident. Levies said the traffic accident occurred because of over-speeding. Levies and motorway policemen reached the spot as an investigation into the incident went underway.

Reckless driving, narrow roads claimed thousands of precious human lives

Narrow road, reckless driving has claimed thousands of precious human lives on the Quetta-Karachi highway. The highway is commonly called the ‘killer highway’. Balochistan government has repeatedly announced the dualization of the highway. However, so far no practical step has been taken for the dualization of the highway, which links Balochistan with Sindh province.

Chief Minister Balochistan, Mir Quddus Bizenjo has expressed grief and sorrow over the tragic incident. In a statement issued after the incident, Mr. Bizenjo prayed that may Allah Almighty rest the departed souls in peace and give patience to the broken family members.
