Levies man martyred in Chaman attack

CHAMAN: A levies man was martyred in an armed attack in Chaman on Thursday evening. Captain (R) Jumadad Khan Mandokhail, the Deputy Commissioner Chaman said armed accused opened fire at a levies check post and seriously injured the levies man.

The levies man identified as Muhammad Naeem succumbed to injuries on his way to the hospital. Levies and policemen reached the spot as an investigation into the incident went underway. The DC informed that the armed accused opened fire at the Ahmed Levies Check Post Chaman.

The dead body of the levies man was shifted to the district headquarters hospital Chaman. DC Chaman and other senior officials reached the hospital. The motive behind the incident could not be immediately ascertained.
